“He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.”

Sometimes when I do not have, I tend to limit my ability to give. This is to say that I look at my current finances and situation, mostly judging my outputs on my bank account. Normally I delight in giving people my last penny, but when limitation comes, I tend to hold back from people, thinking of me and my family first. However, this was a very Long time ago. Over the years, I never look at my restrictions before I give a helping hand. I would rather give someone else than buy that thing I really want or assume a profitable position, because I know the magnificent power which “giving” holds. So far, those good deeds of mine have stood the test of time. It has fought battles and won trophies in my absence and has clothed me with a garment of gold. Today, I can say that my life would not be where it is today, if not for my stretched hands.

1 John 3:17
“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need,
yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?“

Giving has the ability or capacity to direct or influence the behaviour of others or the course of events. When you clean tears, quench thirst, cloth the naked and offer bread to the weak, you automatically rewrite your path. It is the fastest way to touch the creator’s heart, the most certain way to seek his face.

Deuteronomy 15:10
“Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.“

It is said that A GIVER NEVER LACKS, and it true that A GIVER NEVER LACKS. “Giving” is able to be firmly relied on. This has been tried and tested over generations, yet has not failed. As you give on earth so shall you receive from the earth and the heavens. For your sake, the angels will make excuses if you are to be punished and your father will dissolve anything forbidden and relinquish dark powers if it becomes too strong to bare.

Proverbs 11:24-25
“There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.”

How do you attract favour? It is by being generous. Giving away the little you have to someone who you think needs it, but the attitude behind it really matters. Although, it is the little deeds done for strangers that surely forces the power of favour and mercy over your life. So therefore, a giver can never be buried for too long. Also, given thought to a matter for better understanding is also giving, as you have become unselfish about your opinions. She is willing to put the needs or wishes of others before hers and he is open to trusting delicate areas of his life to another.

Those who help the poor or the needy are as though gold medals in the eyes of the lord. A person who positively influences someone else’s life without asking for anything in return will never see his or her river run dry. In times of weakness he is strengthened and the blessings bestowed upon him is as though a specially delivered beautifully wrapped miracle.

Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.“

Intervening intercedes on your behalf without you knowing. Interceding travels like the wind, far beyond your imagination and when the reward returns, which mostly returns when you mostly need it, it will be evident that it was because of the stranger who blessed you for your kind heart or the sacrifice which you made for another person. If you are a giver who seeks nothing in return, the things money cannot buy will be given to you for free. Happiness, joy, peace and health will forever dwell in his home and whatever path he walks, only like minds can walk that same path.

Give your time, money and efforts to those who cannot pay you in return. If it is advises, shelter, food, cloths, cash, promotion, patience, gratitude, manners, opportunities or support of any kind, give it wholeheartedly. For the best reward that is from your father in heaven, will never be far from you and your golden cloth which everyone can see will never be stripped away from your body.

Acts 20:35
“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.“

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,

You have known me. You know my every thought and my every deed, as nothing is hidden from your eyes. Lord Jesus, teach me to be liberal. Teach me to be generous with my patience, especially when it is running thin. When I’m disapproving, teach me to be generous with my praise. To give and not to count the cost and to fight and not to pay attention to the wounds. Teach me to serve you as you deserve and train me to be generous with my time. You gave me everything you had by giving me your Son, Jesus Christ, so therefore, I will open my heart to helping more people and my mind to accepting people for who they are. Let your doubtless and undisputed love be found upon my heart, so that I will not be ignorant to the needs of others and all that you have entrusted to me. Move me with compassion and joy when it comes to the needs of others. May it come naturally to me, free-flowing like the mountain waters.
