Sit down brothers and sisters, let us have a chat. Do you know you only need one believer in your camp or circle to push you through hurdles or for you to be favoured?

Psalm 9:10

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD,
have never forsaken those who seek you.”

Now take for instance, you are on the plane.

The faith of knowing that he will arrive safely becomes a reality here and not necessarily the pilot or the plane’s engine capacity. With belief, the believer stows his bags, fastens his safety belt and waits for his meal, knowing that he will get to his destination irrespective of the turbulence, loss in carbon pressure or almost death experience. This is how we should trust God! Stow your baggages!

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

When we became aware of good and evil, and the fear that sneaks around at every corner of our life, we become mindful and fearful of circumstances and situation which have a higher risks of ending our lives or negatively influences our marriages, crushing our finances and influential status. Take for instance, we gradually grow with every air travel that we board, compared to the early stages of flying. The believer begins to trust the airline as a safer way to travel, because of the knowledge and experience which has been gathered over time. This is how his trust in God has developed overtime.

Then my brother enquired “But what if the plane is doomed to fail”

Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Responding to his question, I say that there is no such thing as “doomed to fail” just in the same way the term “impossible” has no clear justification. Hence, it can be “very difficult” but “not impossible”. We can clearly see that over time the things which seemed impossible many centuries ago are now very possible in this generation. Impossible situations and conditions continue to fizzle out in every decade through different types of solutions. Therefore, nothing was designed to fail. However, a set of circumstance can cause failure but it can also win. A typical two-sided coin.

Luke 1:37
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Back to the story of the believer.
When he encountered a troubling flight, he did not put an end to travelling by air. The believer kept using this service as a way of conquering his dreams and providing a livelihood for himself and his loved-ones.

For the reason that he has been on many flights and have experienced so much and conquered on those times when his flight was in a panic condition, his faith grew stronger on subsequent flights. Even if the plane was bound to crash, his faith alone will take him and every other person on that flight to their destination. What the other people needed was “the faith of the believer” on the plane. They may not know their saving grace, but this is how life works.

Psalm 56:3
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Therefore, I urge you today to just have one believer in your camp or circle. Whether your life is overflowing with people, or your day-to-day existence is pretty isolated, you should make room for a believer, a true friend. He or she will hold you up during the low days, shield you from harm and when he or she intercedes for themselves, you will become a recipient of the rewards which his trust and faith brings. Because of the believers fervent spirit of trusting in himself, you will acquire asserts, skills, status and confidence when around him or her most of the time. On that account, the family and friends of the believer will surely gain from such a mind.

Matthew 6:25 ESV
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

PROCLAMATION
I will put my trust in my God and will acknowledge his strong-arm. For he said he will raise me up when fear becomes apparent. Even at the end of the earth, where there is no water or land, I know my father will feed me, cloth me and shelter me. Then he would build me a nation with many descendants. He would place me on the highest throne on earth, crown my army as “undefeated” and my gates will forever flow with milk and honey.

PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ,
Thank you for giving me a BELIEVER in a family member or a close friend. Teach me to love him or her the way you loved me first. Teach me how to practice selflessness and generosity, and make me understand that is not all about me. Allow the people who love me, feel the genuineness of my kind-heartedness and the depths of my love for them. By your grace father, may you increase their faith, bless them and may they never lack anything good in life. I pray you satisfy all their heart desires according to your will and riches in glory.
